There can be no doubt whatever that our current left-wing, socialist administration still considers ordinary American citizens who dare to disagree with it as "right-wing extremists" and "potential terrorists." The gun control bills now being introduced at a fast and furious pace in Congress bear this out. It seems that we get three or four new ones almost every week. Never forget that "gun control is really people control."
But it is interesting that the Department of Homeland Security Report that I mentioned in the first instalment of this article has now been pulled. According to a report from the American Center for Law and Justice: "The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has confirmed that it has pulled the troubling report that said 'rightwing extremism' may include groups of veterans and those opposed to abortion...This morning, a Washington Times article reported that DHS Sec. Napolitano told lawmakers that the offensive report has been pulled from the DHS website, is no longer available, and is in the process of being 'replaced or redone in a much more useful and much more precise fashion'." Supposedly the report had not been authorized to be distributed and had not even "completed the vetting process within the department." So how did it get out there, then? Was this another trial balloon to gauge public reaction?
All very nice. What it means, basically, is that you may no longer be able to find the report on the DHS website, though I imagine quite a few copies got printed off around the country before they pulled it, which is probably part of what created their problem. Does the fact that DHS got enough flack from around the country that they figured they better pull the report in any way change their minds about most Americans being "right-wing extremists"? Don't bet the farm on that! All it means is that next time they may not be quite so brazen when they report it. The report is, so they tell us, being "replaced and redone in a much more useful and...much more precise fashion." Maybe next time they will start naming groups and individuals. It's hardly reassuring to realize that those in power in the federal government view the rest of us this way. It shows how far to the left Sodom on the Potomac really is.
And to add more fuel to the leftist bonfire, I understand that there are even more Tea Parties being planned country-wide for the Fourth of July, which is good, because a one-shot deal like the ones on April 15th will never get any lasting attention from the Congress-critters in Washington, unless it happens and happens, more and more. July 4th shouldn't be the end either. They should have more Tea Parties right before election time. The Washington coven needs to realize how ticked off much of the public really is at what they are doing with our money and where they are trying to take the country. I'm beginning to think some of these Washington usurpers would almost make Castro look like a right-winger.
As I stated earlier, the gun control bills being put forward in Congress show that this government is really afraid of the American people and they desire to disarm them by any possible measure so they can then ram their socialist legislation down our throats with no potential opposition. For instance, we now have HR 2159-- The Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009. According to the report "HR 2159 would increase public safety by permitting the Attorney General to deny the transfer of a firearm or the issuance of firearms or explosives to a known or suspected dangerous terrorist." The operative word his is "suspected." The bill is a breach of the Second Amendment in that it imposes the restriction of constitutional rights on a person who may well have broken no law and has not been convicted by a judge and jury. All he has to do is be "suspected." Can't you just imagine how our rabidly anti-gun attorney general will interpret that one?
Look at some of the other legislation they are tossing out there--a "hate crimes bill" sponsored by the Bobsey Twins from Taxachusetts, Teddy Bare and Barney. This bill is so transparently hypocritical that even some homosexual activists can see through it, and it's got to be pretty blatant when that happens. Homosexual activist Andrew Sullivan has noted on his blog that: "The real reason for hate crimes laws is not the defense of human being from crime. There are already laws against that, and Matthew Shepard's murderers were successfully prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law in a state with no hate crimes laws at the time."
Then Sullivan goes on to mention "special interest groups which need boutique legislation to raise funds for their large staffs and luxurious buildings. Just imagine how many direct mail pieces have gone out explaining that without more money for (Human Rights Campaign) more gay human beings will be crucified on fences. It's very, very powerful as a money-making tool--which may explain why the largely symbolic federal bill still hasn't passed." Well, it has passed in the House and we are now waiting to see what the Senate will do with it. I hope I might be wrong, but I predict it will also eventually pass the Senate, especially since there are many sexual perversions listed in it that will be exempt from prosecution if it does because those that practice them will then be members of "protected groups."
So the socialist regime in Washington not only wants to redefine average Americans as potential terrorists--that Washington mindset has by no means gone away even though the report on it is no longer available, but they also want to redefine us in terms of the type of garbage legislation they can force down our throats and get us to accept. Evil becomes good. Deviation becomes normal. Darkness is really light if only we become "liberated" enough to see it. They are seeking to push the entire country and culture radically toward the left, telling us that legislative moral degradation is really the path to true liberty. I can only hope that at least the churches in this country wake up and smell the coffee while there is still some left to smell. And waking up doesn't mean that they should go back and reembrace the Republican Party in the next election. They made that tragic mistake with Bush, who really set the stage for Obama and what he is doing.
Maybe the Christians need to go back and begin to rethink what Romans 13 really says, or maybe what Acts 5:29 really says and we need to do that before we get so "redefined" that we can't recognize ourselves anymore.
